摘　　要：1977年,美国科学家Marie Tharp和Bruce Heezen发表了首幅全景海底地形图,海底的种种特征第一次完整、直观地展现在世人面前。这张图在当时引起巨大轰动,即便是现在,这张图在地球科学领域仍有着不可撼动的地位。这张地形图的背后隐藏着两位科学家对世界海底长达20余年系统、细致的研究。文章对Marie Tharp和Bruce Heezen当年研究的过程、技术及方法加以回顾,并阐述二人所做研究的重要意义。In 1977,American scientists Marie Tharp and Bruce Heezen published the world’s first ocean floor map,in which various characteristics of the ocean floor were displayed completely and intuitively in front of the world for the first time.The map caused a great sensation at that time.Even now,it still has an unshakable status in the field of geosciences.Behind this map was the systematic and hard work by the two scientists on the world ocean floor for more than 20 years.This paper reviews the process,technology and methods of the research,and reveals the significance of their research.
