摘　　要：雷蒙·威廉斯作为英国重要的马克思主义者和文化研究的奠基人,他的文学创作也十分丰富,而学界普遍对其小说没有足够关注,因而不利于对威廉斯思想的整体把控。威廉斯小说文本中倾注了很多他对国家、种族和阶级等概念的思考,极大地体现了威廉斯深厚的威尔士情结和工人阶级情感。威廉斯带有明显的双重身份,他既属于英国知识分子群体,又来自威尔士工人阶级;以往的研究大多重视前者,而实际上,后者才是其丰富理论著述的基础和文学创作的灵感来源。As an important British Marxist and the pioneer of cultural studies,Raymond Williams'literary productions are also prolific.However,the academia generally does not pay enough attention to his novels which are crucial to the full comprehension of Williams'thought.Williams'fiction,to a great extent,reflects his thinking on the concepts of nation-state,race and class,which reveals Williams'deep Welsh complex and his feelings for the working class.Williams possesses an obvious dual identity,belonging to both the British intellectual group and the Welsh working class.Most previous studies focus on the identity of the former,but in fact,the identity of the latter is the basis of his rich theoretical writings and the source of inspiration for literary creation.
