摘　　要：“皮朗命题”是比利时史学家亨利·皮朗就西方古代世界向中世纪转变的问题而提出的著名史学命题,有关该命题的争论与研究至今已持续近百年,学术影响深远。一方面,随着时代变迁与学术发展,不同时期与不同研究领域的学者对“皮朗命题”做出了各种不同的思考与修正,不断丰富着“皮朗命题”的内涵;另一方面,“皮朗命题”在一定程度上成为推动中世纪史研究发展的重要驱动力。本文将“皮朗命题”置于西方社会与史学发展的脉络中,简要梳理与分析该命题的百年历史命运,以体现其史学价值与现实意义,并在一定程度上反映出,从19世纪末期至今,西方中世纪早期史研究围绕“皮朗命题”的一条发展脉络。The Pirenne Thesis,which was put forward by the Belgian historian Henry Pirenne,is a famous historical thesis about the transformation from ancient times into the Middle Ages in Western Europe.The relevant debates and researches have lasted for nearly 100 years and have far-reaching academic influence.On the one hand,with the change of the times and academic development,scholars in different research fields have made various criticism and amendments on the Thesis,which has constantly enriched the connotation of it to a great extent.On the other hand,the Thesis itself has become an important driving force for the development of the studies of medieval history.This paper puts the Pirenne Thesis in the context of the development of Western society and historiography to analyze its century-old historical fate,in order to reflect its historical value and practical significance,and,to a certain extent,the developing venation of western studies of the early Middle Ages around the Pirenne Thesis from the end of the 19th century all the way to the present.
