摘　　要：从“弃妇”切入历史,可窥探时代、地域乃至文化景观。美国西部作家福克纳的《八月之光》与湘西歌者沈从文的《萧萧》都塑造了“弃妇”形象。两部作品借“弃妇”讴歌了人性美,体现人类社会的共性。但弃妇“出走”的差异性又可折射出中美两国历史文化的不同,是深入了解中西文化异同的钥匙。Entering history from the perspective of“abandoned women”can reveal the era,region,and even cultural landscape.American Westerm writer Faulkner's Light in August and Xiangxi singer Shen Congwen's Xiaoxiao both portray“abandoned women”.The two works use“abandoned women”to praise the beauty of human nature and reflect the commonality of human society.However,the differences in the departure of abandoned women can also reflect the historical and cultural differences between China and the United States,which is the key to a deeper understanding of the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western cultures.
