走马岭史前城址结构与功能探索

摘　　要：走马岭城具有内外多重城垣防御体系,还在城垣顶部修筑有多处均匀分布的高台作为瞭望台监控周围地区,体现出明显的军事特征。走马岭城修建于屈家岭下层文化时期,正是汉东文化系统大规模进入汉西文化系统分布区的重要阶段,又位于从江汉平原进入澧阳平原的通道处,其主要功能很可能与军事有关,应该是汉东文化系统向西南方向扩张进入澧阳平原和进行军事控制的城堡。The Late Neolithic Zoumaling walled town had multiple enclosing walls that could serve a defensive purpose.Also noticed at the site are high platforms built on top of the enclosing walls,which clearly demonstrated a defensive function.The Zoumaling walled town was constructed during the Lower Qujialing period when cultures originally developed to the east of the Hanshui River began to penetrate into the regions to the west of the Hanshui River.As the site was located on the corridor that connected the Jianghan Plain and the Liyang Plain,it was very likely constructed after the cultures to the east of the Hanshui River expanded toward the southwest and finally into the Liyang Plain.The walled town could well have served for military control purposes.
