Sunshine closely related to people’s health, and lack of light can cause seasonal depression(SAD).Through the questionnaire survey of seasonal depression among college students in the typical cities of the fifth light climate region(Chongqing and Chengdu),the scores and mood changes of students in the autumn and winter seasons were statistically analyzed.Based on the light climate data, the authors judged the changes of depressive mood in the fifth type of light climate region from different light climate regions, and analyzed the relationship between them and the natural light climate. The results showed that about 1/3 of college students had seasonal depression, and more than half of them thought that the reason for the poor mood of autumn and winter was lack of sunshine.Students from the first and second light climate regions, which are rich in sunshine, have significantly higher rates of depression in the fifth category of light climate than other students in the light climate region, which indirectly confirms the effect of SAD.
