严复翻译的译者主体性刍议

摘　　要：本文探讨了晚清翻译大家严复先生译者主体性的表现形式、来源和外延。严复翻译的译者主体性体现在其独特的严氏翻译风格和呈现形式上。严复丰富的学习、人生经历和所处的社会环境成为其译者主体性的主要来源,塑造了译者的学术素养、跨文化理解力和价值观。他独具慧眼,选择最能够改造清末社会意识形态的社会、法律、政治方面的译本加以系统性引介。严复的翻译活动不仅彰显译者主体性,不再扮演隐形人角色,而且积极参与并推动社会改良,扩大了译作的社会影响力,拓展了译者主体性的外延。The paper explores the expressions,sources and extensions of the translator subjectivity of Yan Fu,a great translator of the late Qing Dynasty.The translator subjectivity of Yan Fu’s translations is reflected in his unique translation style and presentation.His abundant study and life experiences,as well as the social environment he lived in were the main sources of his translator subjectivity,shaping his academic literacy,cross-cultural understanding and values.With a discerning eye for text selection,Yan Fu systematically introduced and translated the social,legal,and political texts that were most likely to transform the ideology of late Qing society.Yan Fu not only revealed the translator subjectivity with his translation activities,which made translators visible,but also actively participated in and promoted social improvement,expanding the social impact of his translations and the extension of the translator subjectivity.
