论培根的宗教批判及其现代意义

摘　　要：针对十六、十七世纪欧洲宗教战争破坏社会稳定和发展的问题,培根在其唯物主义体系与科学原则基础上对宗教展开了全面的批判。通过反思宗教与科学活动的差别,培根一方面利用宗教肯定学术进步的伟大意义,另一方面驳斥了导致战争的宗教狂热。正是由于培根宗教批判的工作,近代英国得以超越古典的静态社会理想,进而展望一个奠基于技术进步之上的现代世俗社会。但是培根的这种“朴素的”与“非严格意义上的”宗教与科学的划界工作也预言着现代资本主义世界“宗教狂热式的”科学技术研究与工业生产时代的到来。To deal with the problem that wars of religion destroy society’s stability and development,it was full-scaled religion critique that Francis Bacon adopt to.By reflections of the differences about religion and science,on the one hand Bacon used religion to affirmed the great significance of the advance of learning,on the other hand he disproved the religious fanaticism which caused the wars of religion.Thanks to Bacon’s religion critique,people can surmount the classical idea about a static society,and then looking forward to a modern secular society based on the advance of technology.But this“simple”and“nonstrict”demarcation of religion and science in Bacon’s work also predicted the advent of“religiously fanatical”scientific and technological research and industrial production in the modern capitalist world.
