摘　　要：At present, digital mapping is widely used in various fields of geodesy and cartography. It has the characteristics of high accuracy, strong practicability and simple operation. It not only optimizes the traditional working methods, but also greatly reduces the working time and the labor intensity on site. It is of great help to improve the quality and efficiency of the surveying work. Based on this, this paper firstly expounds the concept of digital mapping, and analyzes its working principle and technical advantages. Finally, it puts forward the specific application method of digital mapping in waterway engineering surveying, hoping to bring some help to promote the surveying level of waterway engineering in our country.
