Relationship between Plasma MSP and LTB4 Levels and Inflammatory Factors and Quality of Life in Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

摘  要:Objective: To investigate the correlation between plasma macrophage stimulating protein (MSP) and leukotriene B4(LTB4) levels and serum inflammatory indicators and quality of life in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods: A total of 159 COPD patients treated in Ruijin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to June 2021 were included in the study group, and divided into acute COPD group (n78) and remission COPD group (n81) according to the severity of the disease. In addition, 60 healthy people who underwent physical examination in our hospital during the same period were included in the control group. The plasma levels of MSP and LTB4, pulmonary function indexes, serum inflammation indexes, and quality of life indexes were compared between the control group, the study group and the patients with different disease severity. The correlation of plasma MSP and LTB4 levels with lung function indexes, serum inflammation indexes and quality of life indexes was analyzed. Results Compared with the control group, Interleukin-1β (IL-1β), Procalcitonin (PCT), Tumor necrosis factor-α (α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), procalcitonin (PCT) and tumor necrosis factor-α (α) were significantly decreased in the study group. TNF-α, Interleukin-6 (IL-6), C-reactive protein, CRP, MSP, LTB4 and St.Georges respiratory questionnaire (SGRQ) scores increased. the forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1) and Forced vital capacity (FVC) were decreased (P<0.05). Compared with the remission COPD group, the levels of SGRQ score, LTB4, IL-1β, PCT, TNF-α, IL-6, CRP and MSP were increased, and FVC and FEV1 were decreased in the acute COPD group (P<0.05). Correlation analysis showed that plasma levels of MSP and LTB4 were positively correlated with IL-1β, PCT, TNF-α, IL-6, CRP and SGRQ, and negatively correlated with FVC and FEV1 in COPD patients (all P<0.05).
