摘　　要：基于Web的报表工具是商业智能等领域的一个研究热点。BIRT(Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools)浏览器是基于Web的报表浏览器,它支持报表的设计和展示功能。以BIRT项目中的交互式报表工具为例,本文提出了一种Web上报表浏览器的有效框架,从交互性、性能等角度探讨了SOA(Service-Oriented Architecture)和胖客户端等技术,并描述了结合SOA和Ajax的智能报表工具设计和开发。这种Web应用框架不仅能提高用户端的效率和性能,也能减轻服务器端的工作负载。Web-based reporting tools attract increasing interest in business intelligence and other related fields. BIRT(Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools) Viewer is a Web-based report viewer to support reporting design and presentation capabilities.
