摘　　要：在英语已成为世界语的今天,随着大批新词语的涌现也伴生了许多英语杜撰词。本文针对该类杜撰词从其构成方式、修辞特点和翻译应对三个方面进行了分析和探讨。在此基础上指出这类杜撰词决不是语言的谬误而是创造性使用语言的结果,并提出英语杜撰词的产生和应用丰富发展了英语构词法和英语修辞格范畴的见解。Today the English language has already become a world language. A large number of new vocabularies and phrases have also come into existence and so have many nonce words. The paper analyzes and discusses these nonce words in three aspects: ways of formation, rhetoric features and translation strategies.
