“途中的真实”——对莉莉·塔克长篇小说《巴拉圭消息》的女权主义解读

摘　　要：《巴拉圭消息》是美国当代女作家莉莉.塔克的获奖长篇小说,描写发生在19世纪关于巴拉圭的政治、战争、阴谋等历史事件和情感纠葛。本文拟从女权主义的角度,来解读小说中的女主人公埃拉.林奇的形象。这一形象的独特性在于埃拉.林奇一方面是一个文化的孤儿和无根的浮萍,另一方面又具有双性一体的气质、反抗男权专制和发掘自我的的勇气。揭示这一为评论界所忽视的女性人物形象,对于重新认识这部小说的美学价值具有重要的意义。The News from Paraguay is Lily Tuck's historical novel,which discribes the great historical events and backgrouds of the 19th century south America .In light of feminism,this paper reveals the unique image of Ella Lynch the heroine,who on the one hand is a cultural-ophan or rootless duckweed,but on the other hand has androgynous quality,heroic behavior in deconstructing male-dominated society and undaunted spirit of revolt.The revelation of this neglected image is of great importance in the reevaluation of the aesthetic values of this novel.
