摘　　要：波.马歇尔的《棕色姑娘,棕色砖房》是美国黑人文学中塑造女性人物成长的一个里程碑。本文试图从对美国梦的追求和主人公追寻自我的成长之旅等方面分析小说《棕色姑娘,棕色砖房》的主题。The novel 'Brown girl,Brown stones' by Paule Marshall is a milestone portraying The initiation of black female in American black literature.This paper tries to give a brief thematic analysis to the novel in term of the pursuit for American dream and the initiation journey in self-seeking.
