摘　　要：我们党要走在时代的前列,肩负起新世纪的伟大重任,在激烈的国际竞争和复杂斗争中掌握主动权,进一步提高领导改革开放和发展社会主义市场经济的本领,就必须始终不渝地、高度自觉地加强党的自身建设,把推进这一伟大工程视为自己的神圣责任。全面推进党的建设要体现"三个代表"要求,要努力建设高素质的干部队伍,要坚持不懈地进行党风廉政建设和反腐败斗争。In order to go ahead of times, shoulder new century's great heavy responsibilities, have the initiative in our hands in the heated international competitions and complex struggle, further improve the ability of leading reform and opening and developing market-oriented economy, we should strengthen the building of the Party itself steadfastly and with highly consciousness, and regard advancing this great project as our sacred duty. While advancing comprehensively the building of our Party, we should embody the request of the 'Three Represent's', try to build leader ranks with high quality, and build a uptight and honest government and struggle against corruption consistently.
