摘　　要：Turbo码是一种接近Shannon编码理论极限性能的并行级联码。介绍了Turbo码的编、译码原理,并对它的性能进行分析。然后,详述了Turbo码在第三代移动通信中的应用。A new error control- coding scheme, named Turbo Codin g can achieve the error correcting capacity close to the Shannon limit when the co de words are long enough. This paper mainly describes the principles of Turbo co ding and decoding, and then analysis its performance synthetically. Finally it i ntroduces its application in the third generation mobile telecommunication syste ms.
