摘　　要：可持续发展是我国跨世纪的基本战略,福建作为全国沿海改革开放后社会经济高速发展的地区之一,经济发展与人口、资源、环境之间的协调尤为迫切。文章着重从文化内涵分析地域文化对持续发展的影响,认为福建文化的开放性、商业性及重视教育、强调亲缘等文化传统为社会经济的发展做出了巨大贡献,但必须克服其文化中功利性倾向、落后的生育观念、浓厚的巫觋色彩等消极因素的影响,才能真正实现区域的可持续发展。Fujian province is one of the highest growth regions in the coastal zone of China since reform and opening to the outsideworld. However, it is very urgent to coordinate the relationships of the economic development, the large population and the dete-riorated ecology and resource.
