摘　　要：《红字》是霍桑所著备受国内外文学爱好者青睐的美国文学名著。该文章从社会背景、宗教因素、情感本能三个层面出发来解析女主人公海丝特?白兰所生存的外在环境与她的内心世界,将一个从十七世纪宗教压迫环境下艰难解脱,勇于向世俗宣战的、叛逆痴情的女子形象剖析给大家。As one of the most famous novels in American Literature,The Scarlet Letter,written by Hawthorne,was favored by a lot of literature fans all over the world.This paper tries to analyze the surroundings outside and the world inside the heroine,Hester Prynne,from three aspects.They are social background,Puritanism,emotion and impulse.It aims to well display a famous woman,who was brave to escape from the religious oppression in the 17th century,who was rebellious to challenge the worldly custom,and who was infa...
