摘　　要：在开发了分布式计算软件平台--Ｓｔａｒｂｕｓ基础上，介绍了目前中间件怎样支持分布式应用，并说明如果要高效地支持新型的应用，需要进行哪些扩展。以数字图书馆为例描述了安全体系结构--ＳｔａｒｂｕｓＳｅｃ，ＳｔａｒｂｕｓＳｅｃ解决了图书馆中大量互相独立的服务之间互操作的安全性。We had developed distributed compute software platform--Starbus. Here we describe how distributed applications are supported at present by middleware and show that extensions are needed if new types of application are to be supported effectively. Taking digital library as an example, we will describe our security architetture, StarbusSec, which runs on a middleware platform extended for asynchronous operation. StarbusSec resolres the secure interoperability of independently developed services.
