摘　　要：变量选择和判别分析是调查表数据分析中的两个重要问题．文中描述了我们基于信息理论提出的四种变量选择的新方法，并把这些方法作了简单比较；同时还简要介绍了我们提出的用于判别分析的一种信息理论方法，与前人的工作相比，这里的算法能用于多组样本的情况，而且计算非常简单．Variable selection and discriminant analysis are two important problems in analysis of questionnaire data. In this paper, four new approaches to variable selection are proposed based on information theory, a simple comparison of these methods is also given. At the same time, an information theoretic algorithm for discriminant analysis is simply de- scribed. Contrasting to previous work, the algorithm can be used in situations with multiple groups of samples, and the computation is very simple.
