摘　　要：一个良好的环境规划必须建立在对环境的完整了解的基础上──即对所处环境的历史、现状有充分的了解和认识。而对事物所涉及的历史描述、记载则有文字性记载与非文字性记载之分。书籍、报刊、杂志、地方志等文字性记载早已被广泛的应用于环境规划之中。非文字性记载在环境规划中的作用也是重要的、不可忽视的。A good understanding of environment,with a full knowledge of its history and current situaton, is very important for environment planning. History consists of two parts, which are known as written history and non-written history. Written history in forms of book,magazine, newspaper and local records have been broadly accepted and used environmental planning. While, the importance of non-written history should be recognized.
