摘　　要：新加坡作家尤今的小说《瑰丽的漩涡》以新加坡年轻一代作为描写的对象,描述了新加坡的社会病态、畸变的文化以及教育等社会问题,具有很强的现实主义精神。这些直面社会人生的现实主义精神与作者的人生观与创作观有着密切的关系。正因为如此,尤今的小说才具有高度的真实性,读来常有身临其境的逼真感。Magnificent Swirl by Singaporean writer You Jin describes the abnormality of the society and culture of Singapore through the stories of the young generation. It is endowed with strong realism which is deeply related with the philosophy of the writer, and which presents the stark truth to the readers. And that is exactly where the significance of the writing lies.
