摘 要:Self-salvation is a constant subject of Salinger's works. The protagonists in his novels usually fall into great pain and are in desperate need of relief, but they can always find extrication, either in the sincerity and innocence of children, or by escaping into a conceptual ideal world, or through compromise with the realistic society, and so on so forth.
