摘　　要：邓小平关于社会主义本质的表述中没有提到公有制 ,这既不是疏忽 ,也不构成矛盾 ,而是因为 :强调生产力相对于公有制生产关系具有更为基础的决定作用 ;公有制作为社会主义的特征从属于社会主义的本质要求 ;公有制及其实现形式作为前提已内含于消灭剥削、实现共同富裕的目标中。Public ownership is absent from DENG Xiao-ping's statement about the essence of socialism, which is neither a negligence nor a contradiction. Productivity emphasized by DENG is more basic and more decisive; public ownership, as a characteristic of socialism, is subordinate to the essential requirement of socialism; public ownership and its realization form, as prerequisites, have been included in the aim to eliminate exploitation and fulfill universal abundance.
