摘　　要：旧函谷关、新函谷关和潼关 ,是崤函古道上先后兴替的三座雄关。本文尝试从古代战争形态与军事交通的关系上进行探究 ,以说明旧函谷关是车战时代的“天险”。而旧函谷关之险要 。The Old and New Hangu Passes and Tongguan Pass used to be the three impregnable passes along the ancient Xiaohan Road. Based on the discussion of the relationship between the ancient patterns of war and military communications, the writer of this paper attempts to argue that the Hangu Pass was 'a natural barrier' in the times of chariot engagement. The difficulty of access to the Old Hangu Pass was closely related to the dense forest along the Pass.
