摘 要:介绍了一种新颖的自聚焦平板波导透镜(SPWL),利用几何光学方法分析了它的光学特性,得出其传输矩阵,并进行了特殊的结构设计。介绍了实际制备这种透镜的工艺过程,并给出了光纤输出光束经1/4节距的自聚焦平板波导透镜之后输出的近场和远场光斑图,测试结果表明自聚焦平板波导透镜输出近场光斑在 x-z 平面内束宽为1153.3 μm,与根据传输矩阵计算得出的束宽1153.2 μm相符;最后介绍了自聚焦平板波导透镜的三种应用实例:LD 阵列和光纤的耦合、SOA 与单模光纤的耦合、光功率分束器和直波导阵列波导光栅。A novel selfoc planar waveguide lens (SPWL),which can be widely used as a coupling lens for the fibre array,is introduced in this paper.First its optic property is analyzed with ray optics and its ray tracing matrix is gained.Next the selfoc planar waveguide lens's practical fabrication process is demonstrated.Then a beam from a multimode fiber is coupled into a selfoc planar waveguide lens 0.25 pitch long and pictures of the far field and near field of the output beam are presented;and the width of the output beam's near field in x-z plane is measured to be 1 153.3 μm,which is close to the computation value 1 153.2 μm according to its ray tracing matrix.Finally,several examples of the selfoc planar waveguide lens's application:SOA and single mode fiber coupling,LD array and fiber coupling,optical power splitter and unbent waveguide AWG,are proposed.
