摘　　要：介绍了高等教育新事物———独立学院的产生背景、与普通公办高校的区别、与二级学院的区别、自身特征、运作模式、发展定位以及拟办学校应注意的一些问题。This paper introduces a novelty of higher education—the background of independent colleges, the distinction between independent colleges and normal universities as well as second—class colleges, its own features, It also presents some operation in ode and location problems that should be paid attention to if individual colleges will be established.
