摘　　要：沈从文的根在湘西。清新秀丽的山山水水,古老苍凉的文化遗迹,悲凉凄美的传统习俗,爽直强悍的山民水手给了从文许多生命的启迪,蕴育了从文散文中独特的文化氛围:一方面,作者对湘西"自然之子"的生命形式大唱赞歌;另一方面又为湘西历史与现实中的悲剧性命运感到"无言的哀戚"。这种"又痛苦又快乐"的情绪,流淌在以湘西山水人情为背景的散文创作中,使得从文笔下的生命总是呈现出一种悲而美的意蕴。Shen - Congwen roots in Xiang Xi (the west part of Hunan province) where the pretty hills and clear waters, the ancient and desolated cultural heritages, the traditional customs, the valiant and frank folks as well as sailors inspire his deep cognition of life, and cultivate his proses with unique cultural atmosphere. On the one hand, he appreciates the natural local life style; on the other hand, he is mute about the history and the tragic reality of Xiang Xi. His emotion mixed with pains and joys infiltrates in his prose composing based on the background of Xiang Xi. Therefore the lives under his pen are always beautiful and somewhat doleful.
