摘　　要：胡适考证传统白话小说,不仅是为了倡扬白话文,提升白话文学的地位,为白话新文学提供榜样,而更是为了借此而在中国社会进行思想革命,从而实现其"再造文明"的宏伟目标。Besides advocating vernacular writing,promoting the status of vernacular literature and providing good models for the new vernacular literature of that time,the main reason why Hu Shi did textual research on a series of traditional vernacular novels is to carry out an ideological revolution so as to achieve his lofty goal of recreating civilization in China.
