摘　　要：海图符号是制图者和读图者进行空间认知与信息传输的载体,是连接海图制图学与符号学的桥梁。现代海图符号使人们使用海图进行海洋空间认知更加贴近现实,使海洋地理空间信息的传输更加准确和形象。提出现代海图符号的基本概念,分析现代海图符号发展特点及存在问题,并就现代海图符号的研究与开发应用提出观点。Chart symbols are the carrier by which the cartographers and chart users could realize spatial cognition and information transmission,and they are also the bridge which connects cartography and symbology.Modern chart symbols enable people to recognize marine space more close to the reality and make the transmission of marine geospatial information more exact and visual.This paper firstly presented the foundational concepts of modern chart symbols;then analyzed the characteristics of the modern chart symbols...
