摘　　要：GAO Jiong,a famous prime minister of Sui dynasty,was both a good commander of the armed troops and a wise prime minister of the government. He knows his subordinates well enough to assign them jobs commensurate with abilities, and assisted Emperor Wen of Sui dynasty for nearly twenty years. He rendered outstanding service in founding and developing Sui dynasty and unifying the country.
