摘　　要：信息技术的突飞猛进使得图书馆自动化系统日臻成熟,大中型图书馆纷纷利用计算机进行编目,也就是采用CNMARC著录。CNMARC是指中国机读目录,是利用计算机编制机读目录的过程,它与传统著录有根本不同,主要体现是,一著录项目不同;二著录内容不同;三新建的检索点不同。CNMARC著录正以其优越性逐步取代传统著录。Because of the rapid development of information technology, the time is ripe for application of library automatic system. Large and medium libraries have begun to catalogue by using computer, that is, they catalogue by using CNMABC. CNMABC means China Machine-readble Catalogue. It is the procedure of compilation of Ma-chine-Beadable catalogue by using computer. It is essential different from traditional catalogue. The main differences are given below: 1. Differences between the catalogue items; 2. differences between the catalogue contents; 3. Differences between the search points; CNMARC catalogue for its advantage is replacing the traditional catalogue step by step.
