摘　　要：Beijing's long history, as capital of China began 850 years ago. Located at Yongding River alluvial plain, the city is the last great development of China's construction of ancient capitals and its overall arrangement, dimensions and the continuation are especially noteworthy as it led the world's capital construction during that period.北京作为建立在永定河冲积平原上的中国国都已整整850年。纵观世界各国建都史,在布局、规模、延续时间三个方面,北京无疑是中国古代都城发展的最后硕果,也是世界同时期都城建设的最高成就。
