摘　　要：Song Xiuyan, 50, was elected governor of Qinghai Province on January 22,2005, becoming the second female governor in China since 1949. As China's only woman provincial governor currently in office, Song adds to an expanding list of women in high positions in the Chinese government. In her inaugural speech, Song vowed: "The Qinghai government will abandon all empty, sensational slogans and halt all exhausting 'image projects.' It is for, and will serve, the people of Qinghai."2005年1月22日,宋秀岩当选为青海省省长,成为中国省级行政区里目前在任的唯一女省长,也是继顾秀莲之后的中国第二位女省长。在就职演说中她誓言:青海省政府将摈弃一切空喊口号的作风,并且停建所有耗费资源的“形象工程”;青海省政府是青海人民的政府,是为人民服务的政府。
