权力/知识拘囿的挣扎——评贝丝·亨利成名作《心之罪》

摘　　要：《心之罪》是美国当代女剧作家贝丝·亨利的成名剧作。剧中人物明显的古怪行为经常被论者关注和批评。剧中人物的古怪行为以及剧作的美国南方背景使得此剧通常被划入美国南方戏剧范畴,并经常与其他南部剧作家的作品做比较研究,诸如田纳西.威廉斯的作品。也有论者从身份认同和女性主义的角度对剧中人为的古怪行为做多种诠释。本文借助福柯提出的知识与权力关系阐释,尝试对剧中人物的"怪异"做新的阐释。通过对剧情和剧中人物之间的关系分析,本文提出剧中人物的古怪行为反映了剧中人在权力建构的文化拘囿下的挣扎。而这个主题是在剧情和观众两个层面上展开的。Crimes of the Heart earns the contemporary American woman playwright Beth Henley an honorable place.The grotesque of the three sisters in the play draws the attentions of the critics all the time.Because of the grotesque and the Southern background,the play is often defined to be a Southern play,compared with other southern playwrights' works.Some critics tried to illustrate the grotesque from the points of identity and feminism.The paper tries to give a new explanation of the grotesque with Foucault's ideas about the relationship between knowledge and power.By an analysis of the plot and the relationship among protagonists in the play,the paper points out that the grotesque of the three sisters reflects the struggle in the repression of culture which is constructed by power.The theme is unfolded in two layers,i.e.the story and the audience.
