摘　　要：Hobbies? How about weaving Chinese knots,with colorful silk threads,or making shoe pads with some rags? One would think such hobbies would be passe.It is hard to believe such pastimes fit into the lives of modern,busy women.However, an increasing number of white-collared women are taking up—in many cases developing an intense interest—needlework.And they aren’t stopping there.The women are applying modern touches to the age-old pastime.拾掇起五彩丝线,编织一只"四季平安"的中国结;或者花几个晚上,做一双别致的拼花鞋垫儿……这些都是看起来很遥远、很闲散的事,与现代女性忙碌的生活节奏格格不入。但现在越来越多的白领女子开始回归传统,热衷学习女红,旧时女红被赋予了新的时尚元素。
