摘　　要：英语教学的最终目的是培养跨文化交际能力。语言教学与文化教学密不可分。对目标语言文化背景缺乏了解,必然会使学生在实际运用该语言时出现障碍。对高职高专学生进行英语教学时,融入中西方文化知识,能引起学生学习英语的兴趣,提高学生鉴赏西方文化的能力,拓展视野,启迪智慧。The purpose of English teaching is to improve students' ability to communicate in English.The lack of the cultural background knowledge of English language will be a barrier to students when they put it into practical use.Language teaching can not be separated from culture teaching.Thus it is essential to help college students get acquainted with the differences between Chinese culture and Western culture.
