摘　　要：伊什梅尔·里德和菲利普·罗斯的学院派小说《春季日语教程》及《人性的污秽》再现了现代大学在种族、身份、性别、性和表征政治等问题上的文化多元主义诉求。本文通过分析两部小说的主人公普特帕特身份认同危机及希尔克的身份认同失败的根本原因,分析普特帕特和希尔克自身最终异变为"幽灵"的过程,探讨里德和罗斯对文化多元主义背景之下"政治正确"的文化潜规则进行的反思。"政治正确"导致的"政治不正确"行为造成普特帕特和希尔克身份认同的危机和失败,而这正是文化多元主义本身暗含的危机。Ishmael Reed's Japanese by Spring and Philip Roth's The Human Stain address issues of race,identity,gender,sex and political representation under multiculturalism.Via a discussion of the protagonist's identity crisis in each novel,this paper argues that the academic satire in the writings of Reed and Roth intersects the ethics of multiculturalism,disclosing the fallacy of political correctness and the limitations of multiculturalism.
