摘　　要：查尔斯·狄更斯在西方批评史上的地位虽然有起有落,但对他的研究一直是"火热"的,汗牛充栋的专著和论文构成了"狄更斯工业"。近十年来西方的狄更斯研究态势主要体现在三个方面:首先以后结构主义为理论支撑,运用语言、文本、话语理论的后现代批评与历史的、文本的、形式主义的、人文主义的传统研究方法有机结合,研究方法呈现多元性;其次,传记仍然不失为丰富和深化了解狄更斯生平及作品的一种重要的研究形式;第三,狄更斯的非小说越来越受到研究者的关注,且成果斐然。梳理21世纪西方的狄更斯研究成果,对于我们开拓视野、把握国外研究的总体态势不无借鉴意义。Although Charles Dickens's critical reputation undergoes ups and downs,he has been a hot topic in literary studies.Voluminous monographs and papers have laid the foundation for 'the Dickens industry.' Western Dickens studies over the past decade exhibit the following trends: firstly,theory-based studies of Dickens have become increasingly varied in approach or perspective,combining postmodernist interpretations with traditional ones;secondly,biographical studies have made more contribution to the understanding of the life and works of Dickens;thirdly,nonfiction studies have produced impressive results.An overview of the 21st-century Western Dickens studies can help Chinese critics broaden their critical horizon.
