摘　　要：孟人是缅甸与泰国的重要跨国民族之一。关于孟人的渊源流变与历史发展,国内学术界已形成许多成熟的结论,但从民族学的角度来看,还有进行拾遗补缺之必要。因此,从其跨国分布格局的形成以及人口、生产方式、社会生活、语言文字、宗教信仰等方面进行研究,就显得很有意义。The Mons are an important transnational ethnic group that live both in Thailand and Myanmar.Domestic studies about their origin and historical development have made sensible conclusions,which,when viewed from the perspective of ethnology,have left gaps to be sealed.Therefore,it is of great significance to study their distribution formation,population,production mode,social life,language,and religion.
