摘　　要：本文简要介绍语篇语类的来源 ,概述语类在语言学和应用语言界以及西方文学界的研究情况 ,讨论语类的层次、语类与文化的关系、语类与意识形态的关系 ,最后涉及语类的研究意义以及语类领域目前关注的课题。This paper briefly introduces the origin of the term “genre” and the current state of researches in linguistics, applied linguistics as well as in literary studies on genre. It also discusses the genre system, the relationship between genre and culture, and the relationship between genre and ideology. Finally it touches upon the significance of research and issues concerned at present in this field.
