摘　　要：从中英墓志铭的异同出发，论述和分析英国墓志铭的发展过程和特色。The paper makes a simple and clear comparison between English and Chinese epitaphs,and analyses the development of English epitaphs and their characteristics,and points out that they are an important part of the rich heritage of English literature and English cultrue.
