摘　　要：“现代化主要是指工业革命以来现代生产力导致社会生产方式的大变革，引起世界经济加速发展和适应性变化的大趋势；具体地说，这是以现代工业、科学和技术革命为推动力，实现传统的农业社会向现代工业社会的大转变，使工业主义渗透到经济、政治、文化、思想各领域并引起社...Abstract The Islamic revivalism movement which started in the Middle East since the 1970s and spread throughout the Islamic world has attracted universal attention of the international community;as this epoch making event took place at a time when modernization process was developing in depth in the Middle East,the two,that is ,the Islamic revivalism movement and the Middle East modernization process have been very closely related to each other.This interactive relations can be explored in the following three aspects:theorectically,the Middle East modernization has demonstrated its complexity and distinctiveness;in practical life,the interactive relations of challenge and resistence between modernization and tradition have embodied themselves in political,economic and cultural activities;and in terms of prospects for the Middle East modernization,the process will be completed amid both conflict and fusion between the tradition and modernization;the Islamic revivalism movement will urge the Islam countries in the Middle East to engage in introspection and self examination while the profound influence of the Islamic tradition and its capacity for self regulation will permeate the modernization process with religious characteristics
