摘　　要：第二次世界大战以来，核政策一直是美国外交政策的重要组成部分。冷战期间，美国核战略重点是防止先进武器技术，特别是核技术流入苏联东欧国家。同时，又不忘防止核武器在冷战阴影下的第三世界国家扩散。冷战结束后，美国成为世界上唯一超级大国，推行其倡导的世界新秩序...Abstract) The US nuclear policy toward Iran is to adopt a series of forceful measures to prevent Iran from producing and acquiring nuclear arms.This policy bears strong colour of power politics.It is markedly expressed as follows:the US sanction on Iran is meant to use the nuclear stick to hit the ‘dissidents’,especially the countries cherishing different ideology and religious views;it is to protect the US own munitions industry;it is also employed to safeguard US interest in the Middle East and the new international order which it has constantly strived to establish; it is in conformity with the US need to monopolise nuclear technology and defend its own security.However,the policy has failed to obtain the anticipated results. Judging from the angle of the US itself,the main reasons are:one,this policy lacks legal basis and is not supported by the UN and international community;two,the US placing itself above the other countries of the world has tried to exert pressure on them and isolate Iran,but so far it has not been able to have its wish fulfilled;three,the double standard in the US policy is also an important reason for the fruitlessness of the US sanction against Iran
