摘　　要：语言是文化的载体，文化是语言的管轨。文化因素对语言的形式和语言的运用产生正迁移或负迁移作用。在英语和对外汉语教学中应该积极利用文化的正迁移作用。The paper deals with the cultural influence upon the study of English and Chinese as a second language,it analyses the negative interference of culture.It also raises some proposals of how to avoid effectively this kind of negative interference in English and Chinese teaching and learning.
