Abstract It was the principle of the US atomic diplomacy in the nuclear monopoly time to influence international politics with the resort to atomic bombs. Since the last battle against Japan, the U.S. never gave up, even in the momentary peace after the war and the cold-war period, its policy to control and transform the postwar world politics and international relationships with atom bombs. This diplomacy served its global strategy and the spearhead was pointed at its major opponent, the former Soviet Union. Meanwhile the U.S. tried to expand the political influence of atomic bombs by means of sharing atomic secrets, limited opening and providing protection.
