摘　　要：美国城市史学的产生与发展黄柯可城市史是一门交叉学科，这不仅由于它融汇了多门学科，如：历史学、社会学、经济学、地理学、人口学和统计学等，而且仅从其产生之初亦可得到证明。最早，城市史学是作为社会学的一个分支在美国出现的。它形成的时间众说纷纭，一说产生于２...AbstractEarly in this century sociologists at the University of Chicago led by Robert Park started research on urban society.Their work,The City published in 1925,established the base of urban social history.Arthur Schlesinger's The Rise of the City published in 1933 was a pioneer work by historians on urban history.Many historians then advocated the widening of the scope of historical inquiry and emphasized studies of social units at the grass roots.Since the Second World War urban history has become an boundary science and has made great progress in the United State.The Urban History Association was established in 1989.Studies of urban history have mainly focused on a wide range of special topics.
