摘　　要：背景 国际社会对于生育健康的广泛关注的核心问题之一是避孕措施的知情选择。避孕措施的知情选择是西方国家提出的生育健康项目与传统的计划生育项目的一个主要区别,是夫妇的生育权利的一个重要方面。它表明夫妇有权利和能够对避孕措施进行选择,而计划生育部门应保证夫妇能够得到各种安全有效的方法。避孕措施的知情选择在我国的实践已经开始,它展示了计划生育工作的一种新的方向。那么避孕措施的知情选择的意义是什么?在我国开展试点的状况与效果如何?对我国计划生育工作思路的调整有何启示?本刊特组织此次论坛,邀请有关专家学者就以上问题发表见解,共同探讨未来中国计划生育工作的发展方向。Informed choice of contraceptives has been at the center of the world - wide concerns of the reproductive health issues. Being a major reproductive right of couples, hence a major distinction drawn by the Western countries between the reproductive health programs and the traditional family planning programs, informed choice of contraceptives means that, on the one hand, couples have the right and are able to make choice of the contraceptives; on the other hand, family planning sectors should guarantee the couples to obtain all kinds of safe and effective methods. Practice of informed choice of contraceptives was started in China two years ago, and it has presented a new direction of family planning work. This issue of 'Population and Development Forum ' is devoted to discussions on implications, experiences and future development of the informed choice of contraceptives in China. Cai Wenmei, professor from the Population Institute,Beijing University,examines the concept, components and implications of the informed choice of contraceptives. Guo Zhigang, Director and professor of the Population Institute, People's University of China, argues that the informed choice of contraceptives is a development direction of our family planning work, it is an upgrade, not a downgrade of the family planning work. Li Bohua, researcher from China Population Information and Research Center, reports the findings of the survey on reproductive health issues for rural women in China: To what extent women are informed? Zhang Chuanlin, Director of Shandong Provincial Family Planning Commission, discusses the necessity , implications, and practice effects of the informed choice of contraceptives, arguing for its importance for improving family planning work.
