摘　　要：美国作家托马斯.沃尔夫的短篇小说《他父亲的土地》,是一部具有无限含义,充满无限解读可能的小说。小说既可以看成是一部意识流小说,小说的主人公小男孩在观看马戏表演时思想的飞转流动;也可以看成是部成长小说,一个小男孩在进行了一场精神的漫游之后,思想由稚嫩走向成熟,完成了人生的第一次蜕变,获得了成长。小说的这种双重解读,给读者提供了一个再阅读、再创作的可能。The short story His Father's Earth by the American writer Thomas Wolfe is not only a story full of infinite messages but also a story full of possibilities of infinite explanations.It can be seen as a stream-of-consciousness story as the boy's flow of thoughts and images leaps when he is looking at the circus.It can also be regarded as an initiation story as the boy undergoes adventures and inner turmoil in his growth and development before he becomes grown up.The double explanation of the story provides us a possibility of new reading and creation.
