摘　　要：Rural commodity economy in the Northern China had developed to a certain de gree during the Republic of China. There was a fairs-ground every (2.5 to5 km) conveniernce of trading arid fairs were held every 3, 5 or 7 days,craftsmen come to trade mainly in agricultural by-products, handicrafts and other products, with the main medium of money or by barter.
